Teaching is a professional vocation with moral and ethical responsibilities. Just as doctors and nurses take an oath to remind them of their moral obligations, teachers should also pledge their commitment to quality physical education.

The REAL Teacher's pledge is such a reminder. It is used in teacher education programs during graduate commencement ceremonies and also by professionals who want to commit or to reaffirm their commitment to being REAL teachers.
